2024 Oct Update: New high-res version of the comic is coming AND I've moved this out of order so that you can read Chapter 2 without interruption, so my blog post might be a little out of whack with reference to dates.
The events of the first two pages take place before Sulphur Tongue obliterating that one dude. This comic is very much the abridged version of the events, Kingston and Marina dragged Ivanhoe inside where there wasn't much light and never actually saw the explosion. The only ones who would've seen anything were Alpha (driving the boat), Georgio and Chuck. They legitimately don't know anything at this point.
